Why did my Team and Players Rating and stars decrease by around 20% at the end of the first season?

Hi & welcome to the forum.
This is normal. When you level up at the end of the season (finishing top 8) your team loses 20% which is equivalent to 1*. Sometimes it is possible to level up even by finishing lower than 8th depending on your server. There are many posts about this in the forum.

Super stupid feature but if that absolutely has to be then it would be better to have that % reduction of let's say 10% and not 20%.
You train your players super hard and each new season they're becoming 20% weaker, super psyop by nordeus when you have to spend more money training them again and again, vicious circle.

Why people are still complaining about this system, it is one of the core mechanics of the game and everyone has to deal with it.

It has always been like this. There are ways around it of course but again, there are many many posts in the forum about this.

I have the same problem.. Its ok for me to losse a stars in the begining of the new sesone , but i dont understand why fron world class player go down to elite..?
