I bought a striker called Alessandro Del Piero last season. 4* player, aged 27, one-on-one scorer. Scored 1 goal in the 14 games I played him in and missed a lot of one-on-one opportunities. Even my 3* CB (no special) scored more goals in that time lol

You would of thought that being Alessandro Del Piero he would live up to his name.

Bought a young DL/DC player last season, (because of his name), and was hoping he would develope, but he was useless and after my promotion this year, he had dropped back to just 2* and a long way off improving. So I sold him today. Just about got my money back. His name? OLIVER HARDY.

Bought a young DL/DC player last season, (because of his name), and was hoping he would develope, but he was useless and after my promotion this year, he had dropped back to just 2* and a long way off improving. So I sold him today. Just about got my money back. His name? OLIVER HARDY.

A player needs 75 skill points in the space of 28 days to retain their relative rating against your level/opponents etc, if your winning promotion each season, even 18 year olds struggle to get this many skill points a season. So in relative hindsight, players are declining as you are moving through the levels.

True you just cannot progress them fast enough, even worse with a full squad rotating and changing formations day in day out.
