Strange Coach Behaviour in Academy

I'm trying to find fast trainers from the Academy. I don't need answers that they don't exist, this is not about that.

So now I have two players in my Academy. One striker with 59,1% quality and one mc with 58,4% quality. I checked how they would train under the head coach. Striker would gain 36,5% and mc would gain only 36,3% despite being weaker. So I got excited that now I might have a fast trainer in my hand. They might both be, I don't know, but what's interesting the mc gets more from the intensity coach x40. Mc gains 50,7% and st gains 50,3.

So my question is, how is this possible? How can the other get more from the other training and the other from the other training. If one is better trainer, should he gain more from every training?

So I have done nothing, but things have changed. Striker still gets 36,5% from the head coach, but somehow mc gets 36,4% now. Also the intensity coach x40 has changed. Mc has dropped to 50,5% and striker has gone up to 50,4%. So now they are almost the same, but still other is better with other training and the other is better with other training. Also I have done absolutely nothing so what changes the numbers?

So the story continues. I used something like 120T maybe more on that MC. With tokens spent I got 120% with AMC position and playmaker SA. The striker got the free 7x from the special sponsor and went to ~65%.

Since signing them, I have done very little training with the MC. The striker is now 109%. Neither of them are excellent fast trainers. Good, but not excellent. MC does not shine above others, but not bad though, pretty decent. Striker has played 8 matces now with 21 goals. I think he's a keeper.

Striker has much healthier ratio in whites and greys. MC has almost same percentage in every skill, greys maybe 20% lower. But that doesn't bother me much, since he has only 2 grey skills.

So what we learned from here? Nothing much I guess. Still no class 1 fast trainer from the academy, but a clear key player instead. I think I managed to shift that key player role from the legend I sold earlier. But that's another story.
