Minimum number of players in my squad?

by the end of the season I want to sell all my players except 11, I have another 3 young players in the Academy
what will happen in this situation?
I find this (If you do not have 14 players, the system in Top Eleven adds some weaker players until you reach the minimum) but they didn't mention the academy players!
could I keep only 11 + 3 academy players? or the system will give me another 3 old players?
