I really think most people do not know how to manage the auction part of this game I think it is insane that as soon as a person sees a player they like at the very beginning they start by immediately upping the tokens by a lot this also drives the money price up, do they not understand that everyone could benefit including them if they start by increasing the tokens gradually, I guess they like to pay more when they could, in the end, stretch out the auction and get players for a lot fewer tokens and money. It's mind boggling.

my case in point a DC DMC 25 YEARS OLD AT 97% THE WINNING BID WAS 23 TOKENS AND 166 MIL. THIS IS AN INSANE AMOUNT OF TOKENS AND MONEY TO SPEND WHEN YOU CAN GO INTO THE SCOUTING AREA AND GET A BETTER AND EVEN YOUNGER PLAYER FOR A FEW TOKENS MORE AND SOMETIMES EVEN LESS MILLS. THESE PEOPLE YOU GO ON A PLAYER A FEW SECONDS AFTER THE TIMING RESTARTED AND THERE ARE BIDS FOR 7 8 AND MORE TOKENS ALREADY I THINK THESE PEOPLE ARE WASTING TOKENS AND MONEY AND IN THE MEAN TIME MAKING IT WORSE FOR THEMSELVES AND OTHERS

I always assumed bots and programming were used to set the minimum a player should spend on players. Never thought those weird inflated bids were real players. But who knows, these days tokens mean little for those with multiple accounts

Maybe he only had 23 tokens left and wanted a good DMC. For players like myself who don’t pay real money and have teams that average 90-100%, ~20 tokens for this player seems right to me. He would start on my squad for two seasons. I see players of this caliber go for about that many tokens all the time.
