I just looked at the formations. the 3-1-4-1-1 will beat a 4-4-2 regularly.

This result is only a surprise in that there are 5 goals to nil. I would have expected 2-1.

I'm not expert in countering formation, but my real team lost with 4-4-2 nd.. and I try it again with the same formation, and it had different result... beside that it not my team anyway..
