It's a joke ins't it! I have had the same issue and got a similar response (we don't always give you ads, don't have to so suck it up)

The whole game is built on ads- video drill event, special sponsor points, 2x training ads, match sharpness, recovering players, Mourinho support, 2x video shop value reward, collecting rests, morale and treatments to put best team out, training individual players, collecting tokens for events like penalty shootout etc. The game is pretty much unplayable without access to at least 5-6 ads per day.

Something clearly wrong at the moment as I know a few others with the same issue. Hopefully a fix is on the way
