Do players gain experience if they play a match in a wrong position? E.g. if a MC plays in MR or a DMC plays in MC...or GK plays in ST?

Do they gain the same amount of experience as they are playing their familiar position or do they gain less? Or do they gain none?

Yes, they get the same amount if they played in the right or wrong position, skill progress gained is calculated according to the about of condition used in the game.
