that should be a factor in players that are 30+ but not for players that are young. If in england a team were promoted from the championship to the premier league that teams star 20 year old striker wouldnt be suddenly less valuable, the exposure of a higher ranked league would increase value surely?

Only if he performed well in that league.

United signed Zaha who could flop very easily in the Premier League. Tbh, he wasn't amazing in the Championship.

true, although he was by far the best player on the pitch in the play off final today.....

but the game shouldn't assume he will flop without a ball even being kicked and drop his value. it should, at least, stay the same

Just think though. A good striker in a lower league and scoring a lot of goals, would probably not be so good when moving up and playing against better quality defenders. That is why their star rating falls. But don't forget also, that the stars are only a visual rating. The players quality rating remains the same.

I agree completely, although Zaha was by far the best player on the pitch in playoff final today....

but look at Palace's striker Glenn Murray. scored 30 goals. valued at around 3million in January transfer window. now linked with 5 million move to Fulham. now today Crystal Palace have been promoted so by this logic should his value now drop and he is worth say 2.5 million?

One player really stands out regarding this point. When Beckford was playing for Leeds in the championship, he was scoring a lot of goals, and several premiership clubs were interested, and his value was high. Everton got him, and he was a total flop so his worth plummeted as he couldn't play as well at the higher level.

We will have to wait and see as regards Zaha. He is as yet, unproven against International class defences.

The way I see it, a star player in the Championship is not going to be quite as hot in the Premiership, facing much tougher opponents. It makes sense in the game for players to drop a star, as annoying as we may find it - especially after training them hard for so long to get those stars in the first place. But ... if they're young, and you play them enough and keep at the training, won't be too long before you regain their stars. And as mentioned, their skill ratings will be the same.

I have the league wrapped up now, cannot be caught. Another win today, 2nd place only managed a draw - so done and dusted. yay! so i think I'll use the remaining games to test out the most recent players I brought in as cover. Give them some full games to get some skill points to beef them up for next season.
