Champions League final preview and live updates

The big match is upon us!

Perfect Tactics (England) vs Alessio Atalanta (Italy)
    Kick off: 18:21
    Venue: Anfield

It's been a while since my last live champions league thread. Last season we were knocked out in the quarter finals and the season before, I did not make a thread as a precaution since my opponent was a forum member.

    Status
    Perfect Tactics
Position in league: 1st, league already won
    Cup: 3rd round
    Overall quality: 57.7
Last season trophies: League 1st place

    Alessio Atalanta
Position in League: 1st on goal difference
    Cup: Won
    Overall quality: 50.8
Last season trophies: League, 1st place

Alessio Atalanta are a team from Italy and have had a bit of an up and down season, however they have a strong team and are not to be underestimated. They have a team full of 5* and 6* players and a free kick specialist who could give us problems for a few of our players who like to give away free kicks. They qualified in 2nd in the group but they did knock out Clastresmorcourt and had a tough route to the final but they managed to get through in the end. They are currently 1st in the league but only 2 points separate them and 4th place so our opponents do have work to do in the league and hopefully it will hinder their performance a bit.

Petersen is also set to make his 5th CL final and is looking for another trophy to add to the collection.

How they may line up...(subject to change)

    Perfect Tactics (4-5-1v)

GK - Luigi De Mafia (62)
DL- Xander van der Zande (63)
    DC - Lee Vittalone (62)
    DC - Jack Goff (61)
    DR - Luke Warmwater (63)
    DMC - Ivor Hardy (59)
    MC - Eric Blomqvist (58)
    MC - Gaylord Silly (58)
    AML - Antonio Nascimento (63)
AMR - Chano Petersen (62) - STAR PLAYER
    ST - Iam Pistov (61)

Subs: Razak, Goldswill, Norris, Roth, Mata, Suarez, Bogdany

    Alessio Atalanta (4-1-2-1-2 ND)
    GK - Giancarlo Anton (54)
    DL - Pedro Martins (55)
    DC - Ekkaraj Uttrerwong (52)
    DC - Josue Torres (51)
    DR - Carlos Machado (54)
    DMC - Ragab Tolba (55)
    MC - Jace Noiszwesci (54)
    MC - Nalbert Lima (55)
AMC - Junior Martins Santo de Oliveria Braga (55)
    ST - Spencer Mustapa (51)
ST - Zlatan Ibrahimovic (55) - STAR PLAYER

With Petersen being of huge importance to Perfect Tactics, we decided to give him a rest in the 2nd leg of the semi-finals. He sits on 60 goals this season whereas Ibrahimovic is on 20 goals but is their best player in terms of stats and is also a free kick specialist that could cause us some problems. Perfect Tactics will go into the game as favourites, however we will be taking a cautious approach as we suspect our opponents will try to hit us on the counter attack which they seem to be good at doing.

Also, it seems as though our opponent will be getting quite a bit of support for his CL match. I would expect him to get at least 8% bonus so it is important for us to play very well considering the fact we will be under constant attacks.

As per usual a bit of fun... guess who will be the first goalscorer.
    First goalscorer odds:
    Pistov - 4/1
    Petersen - 7/2
    Nascimento - 4/1
    Ibrahimobic (Alessio) - 5/1
    Mustapa (Alessio) - 11/2
    Silly - 9/1
    Braga (Alessio) 10/1
    Blomqvist - 11/1
    Lima (Alessio) - 17/1
    Noiszwesci (Alessio) - 20/1
    Hardy - 25/1
    Other: 10/1

Nice, this will be interesting to follow @Dv8r!

    I bet my chances on Pistov - 4/1 & Petersen - 7/2

A tip: I would go for the 3N-1-2N-2W-2 formation instead of the 4-5-1V (More offensive in search for an early goal or two). When facing a formation like narrow diamond you only need 3x DC...

    Good luck!

    Yeah... It's back!!!

And yeah its been a while, hence last 2 seasons as you say, KOed last season and season before was a strong tactical forum member that kept switching tactics. I've got my Champions League Final tonight as well BUT I've got a strong opponent which is capable of turning us over if we are not on our best game.

Got my CL final tonight as well. Winning that would cap my best season in T11 so far (only ever won 1 of 3 trophies in a season).

As for this, Perfect Tactics to win 6-1 (seeing as he attacks in every game possible).

Tension is rising as Perfect Tactics team arrives at the stadium ahead of the match. Rumours has it that there will be changes made before the match.

Can Chano Petersen lead the team to victory again?
