I'd support against them. Your probably not going to come across your rival for sometime after this season if you have no other friended teams around in your league thats common friends with them.

its a good point. imo, i dont like the possession bonuses, im happy if its a bonus for the crowd, but having more possession for the manager being there or friends or rivals i think is poor.

unfortunately, you have to put in alot of time to succeed at this game. attending matches being the main thing, and thats what i dont find fair

so... you are suggesting managers should be absent when their team plays?
kinda defeats the purpose of being a manager doesnt it?

nope, what i was saying was, its not fair to get possession bonuses if you attend a game. how is it fair on those who are too busy having lives to attend most of their games?

I guess it would reflect in real life like a manager who is too busy having a life to attend the matches of his charges, therefore demoralising them and reducing their ability to hold possession.
Every game needs its own way to reward more avid players, and if a gamer doesnt have the time to play the game as much as his counterparts... its only fair that he doesnt reap the rewards that others do... dont you think?
