Lol wish I had of known sooner that you could change a players name, turned down a top top player for a cheap price as his name wasn't spelt right... Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Once you get to few levels higher, it doesn't seem cool anymore because a lot of people have those names. What I don't see a whole lot are legends. So naming your team based on some players from 80's, 90's is cool. I see Maradona, Pele, etc. but if you go "2nd tier" like Bebeto, Careca, Ceulemans, Scifo, Deschamps, Koeman, Laudrup, Boniek, Milla, Alex McLeish, etc. I don't see those guys

Lol In my noob days, I bidded insanely for a player called Robert Lewandowski not realising there are probably hundereds of those lol


Also I seem to be adding like 4/5 new players to my first team every season so would be a gross waste of tokens simply renaming every season.

I renamed two players, the first of which was in the original post and the other is Geoff Hurst, didnt want to name any after my football team but thought it would be fun to change it to Hurst as he did score 3 goals in the WCF back in the year I was born lol.

I've named a few. I had a player named Jose HeadDeBall first season - I love the idea someone in Turkey is using him after buying. Unless they re-re-named him of course. I sold Eddie Vedder [lead singer with Pearl Jam] recently too

Haven't done it and probably never will - it's a waste of tokens, since I'm not a buyer and I don't get any entertainment from that either. It's even annoying and I avoid even buying renamed players. However I do have an Iker Casillas GK however, got him as a free agent 2 seasons ago when I needed a second GK.
