What is purpose of My ID ?

Yes I use Facebook and understand there is a link between it an the game, but I'd like to add my non-Facebook using friends using their ID (e.g. my son who is too young for Facebook) but it won't let me add via ID only via Facebook. IF you could add offline friends as well, via the ID, this would make the app much wider appeal.

ID is mainly used for customer support, you give it to them so they can identify the team
