Good player on WRONG position or WEAK but on his position
I have some theoretical question. What if your main LD got injured ,you cant heal him , and for subs you have , LD which is lets say weak 19Q and you have some LM 30Q , so which of one is better to put ? The better one but in wrong position or the weaker one but "where he belongs ". Which one will perform better?
Thanks

I prefer the good player in bad position.

I just put the good player in his good position unless it really F's up my formation in which I play the good player in a bad position

I'd always opt for the player that has it as a natural position. I've only broken that rule twice and on both occasions it was during a match and after I've done 3 substitutions.

Good player in wrong position.
I can take you back a few seasons ago when I played my best player who is an AMC/AMR as a striker. I did this in a champions league final match and guess what happened. He scored twice in a 3-0 win.

I had my 31-year-old defender playing Left Back and consistantly get a form of 8. And he's only 17 quality.
