Could anyone help me and give an advice, how to play against unusual formation: 4-3(MC, MC, MR)-1-2

First game i lost (1-0). I used 4-1-4(MR,MC,MC,AML)-1, usual, attacking left side for the first 20 minutes but my possession was 40%. Then switched to defence style, my possession turn to 57% and the game was equal. Then i missed the goal =(
So i had to change my formation to 4-5-1V attacking, but the game didn't changed.
