You can play an ML in AML position, I know it's out of position but it's one square so it should be fine.

Although an AML is better so I would recommend you try and get a good one, if not then play your ML in an AML position as a last resort

If he is playing a 4-3-1-2 formation then I think that formation will work as well but maybe remove the red arrows on DMC as you need the defence rather than attack here, keep red arrows on your AML and AMR. If he has MC-MC-MC in midfield then you are okay to use the formation I told you earlier.

But if he has ML-MC-MR it needs to be a bit different, replace a striker with a defender so you will have 4 at the back (DL-DC-DC-DR) and then add red arrows to your DL and DR and your AML and AMR. That will add extra protection on your flanks while giving you extra support to your wingers. This would be the 4-5-1 v formation motivated
