Against 4-4-1-2 ?

Here's the result from the 1st leg of semi finals (Champions League)
I played 4-4-2 with no arrows, attack from both flanks, mixed short passes no off trap and no counter attack.
We both watched the game but he was the dominant side! In Quarter finals he lost 3-1 but in the 2nd leg, he won 4-1!
I need to beat this guy away. Any thoughts or advices please?

I have to buy a AML to use that formation. I dont have AML
As i generally use 4-4-2, i dont have players like AML and AMR. But i bought an AMC once and he can play AMR too. What o u suggest. Is it worths buying an AML?

You can play an ML in AML position, I know it's out of position but it's one square so it should be fine.

Although an AML is better so I would recommend you try and get a good one, if not then play your ML in an AML position as a last resort

I'll buy one in 10 minutes. But he sometimes switches to 4-3-1-2

If he is playing a 4-3-1-2 formation then I think that formation will work as well but maybe remove the red arrows on DMC as you need the defence rather than attack here, keep red arrows on your AML and AMR. If he has MC-MC-MC in midfield then you are okay to use the formation I told you earlier.

But if he has ML-MC-MR it needs to be a bit different, replace a striker with a defender so you will have 4 at the back (DL-DC-DC-DR) and then add red arrows to your DL and DR and your AML and AMR. That will add extra protection on your flanks while giving you extra support to your wingers. This would be the 4-5-1 v formation motivated

Looks like Its the end of the CL for us
I think the tactic worked because i dominated the match while im playing an away game. I couldnt dominate it at home. I wasted 3 clear opportunities first half. The 2nd, i wasnt bad and i was waiting for a goal but he was the one who scores. Game engine.. Nothing to say bro.

Sounds like the game engine had an off day, opponent probably had defensive counter tactics. But from the sound of it, you dominated so the formation worked just a bit unlucky with the finishing
