How to underestimate your opponent lesson ONE!

I'm about to lose the CL for the first time, so I've decided to document my fall. But will go down fighting, came late for one game and lost, and totally underestimated one opponent in a draw, and totally open-mouth flabbergasted in another at home draw again against a weaker team.

Hmmmm, just so happens that I've been guilty of this too. Particularly in playing a formation I wanted to (knew I should really have went with another), twice, for no good reason, while thinking "Och, I'll win anyway regardless." Oh no I didn't, twice.

I'm going to get you P*nd*j*!

As promised, I will document this Champions League of mine, let it be fair or foul. My demise is almost complete. A 1-4 lost at home to the weakest team in the table. Please, please believe me, I am not losing on purpose, no one tanks their CL games! My fate in now in the hands of others, "Never leave anything to chance"~ Someone said it first!

Because I am such a Einstein, I "Park DA Bus" formation all day long and only reveal my formation 4 minutes before game time, and make my opponent look up my previously used formations, and guess what I will play. And yes, I play different formation against different opponents.

Today I woke up late and my important game had already started with me using P-D-B!

I woke up and jumped of out bed when the demon Jose Morinhoseux appeared in my dreams saying, "I'm going get you Pendejo!".

So I rushed online and changed to 4-5-1 V just in time for the half time start whistle! It was 1-1.

I was LOL, I managed 1-1 with P-D-B formation at halftime hahahaha I'm a genius! No big deal, I will crush this worm in the second half.
10 quality, 2 stars above, killer counter and 15% possession at home, thank you to the 7 managers that watched, you will not be forgotten, and if you'd watched, I mean really watched, you must have had a good laugh.

Please note. All the winning goals came in the second half, after I put up the 4-5-1 V.

Arrows, counters, stars, Av. Qty., SAs, tokens, possession %, training, morale, condition, Norgens, scouts means nothing. When compare with the one real thing that matters?!?

    TROLL power.................priceless!

Should have stayed in P-D-B. I have noticed that making significant changes with your formation in a match seems to negatively affect your team for a period of time in the match

Hi,in Champions league this may happen, because there aren't bot robot teams,as in Leagues,so each team built in a "legal" way may create you some difficulties.

I'm convinced you agree that your starting formation was not very correct : you ALWAYS have to put at least an ST,or your ball possession may be only 20% ,this is a penalty of the game for wrong (so called illegal) formations. It's not always easy to improve the situation during the match if your players start playing bad.

Besides, you have to analize your opponent's players, not only on their mean quality level (and the stars),but also in defense, attack and status, choosing the best players to face them: if your opponent ST is very fast, your defender should have a high value in velocity...

For your tactics,an ST with also a good defense behaviour should help you ( I often use 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 or 5-3-1-1, and I want my STs to be complete also in defensive attitude;I'd never use them for defending of course)

You can easier evaluate your players if you succeed improving them in a uniform way.

Avoid a very offensive behaviour, unless necessary.

I lost a Champions league qualification ,playing 2 matches with an illegal formation with 3 players for each flank:

    1) In the first match ( 4 qualifying round), I scored 3 goals in 60 minutes, and I was 3-1,but my players condition dropped below 40%,and I lost 3-4 in last 30 minutes.

    2) In the second (6 (last) qualifiying round) I lost 1-2 at home like you ,against the last team of my group.
