All true in the real world, not sure realism applies to T11.

I never buy wide players who use their inside leg to kick, and try to buy central players with both.

With realism, you'd see Ronaldo, Neymar, Hulk cutting in front the left wing to take a shot at goal.

I'll continue going purely by their stats; crossing, shooting, etc.

Well, regarding the so called 'illegal formations'. I've been using a 4-3-3-A formation with no wing players and it works brilliantly. Two midfielders are AMR and AML, three are MC; three defenders, DL, DR and one DC and of course two strikers up front; hard attacking mentality and zonal defending, with of course no counter attacks. I'm having dominant ball possession with over 65 each match, 65 being the minimum when I face heavily defensive formations; the rival teams for these first five league matches didnt manage to net in even one goal against me. I don't know wether this also depends on the manager level because I'm still at level one.

I do have two pretty good, 4 star quality wingers, one for the right and one for the left, but I rather concentrate myself with a playermaker and dribbler specialist in the MC line and I've got another SS in the AMC line. Zonal defending makes up for the lack of wingers.
