Decrease of star of player

Hello I start playing a week ago and in the time I able to manage a player to make 6 star but today after season end the player not 6 star anymore,I mean lost star rank,so I just want to know is it normal?

Yes it is. Whenever you get promoted, the players will lose one star on paper, but their quality is still the same.
If you fail to achieve promotion, then your players will have the same number of stars next season.

But it is now not as good as it used to be in 2015...
