Nah, bit it does add spiritual value. I gave my best defender #5 and he hasn't let me down since.

Don't think it makes any difference at all. In my season 4, I had a ML, who ended the season as my top scorer, and he had the #1 on his shirt. (My goalie that season wore #4).


So far this season, my #9 striker, has not scored a goal in 12 appearances, but my top scorer wears #28.

No effect but it does make you angry when u buy a new striker & he gets the no 1 jersey maybe it is coz they want you to use a token to change it.
