    4-3n-3w is fine. 4-1-2n-2w-1/4-1-2n-3 is good counter-formation as well.

    As for playing offensive or defensive, honestly there is no way to know for sure without personally studying your opponent. Formation alone won't provide enough information on how best to set the mentality. As a default I'd try a counter-attacking system, but be prepared to adapt if needed.
