Can somebody share what in his/hers opinion are the REALLY key abbilities for MC? Passing is the KEY but what else is essential for a GOOD MC?

you can go in asso top100 list and observe the players of those teams.
But I suggest to ignore the tanking teams
Those who has a blank in League (in their profile).

All white skills, I don't think that some are more important than others. All together have an impact on the calculation of the games.
