One-on-one scorer ability

I've seen many strikers with the ability "one-on-one scorer" but I don't seem to have the option to teach any of my own strikers that ability.

I seem to only be able to buy players with this ability.

Do you have to unlock it somehow?

I am in my second season league 2

You can teach this ability but it's a waste of time and skill points, you're better off buying someone with the special ability

depends on the age of player - if he is under 24, he can learn ability/poistion in a season (or less depending on his training and learning abilities) and it's worth it. other than that better off finding one with ability already learned

IMO it's not worth it unless you do it with an 18 year old with maximum or close to maximum training speed.

no thats not what i meant.
i mean when i try to click "learn new ability", i get stuff like: freekick taker, penalty taker, corner specialist
BUT one-on-one scorer does not show up!

my striker used under one season to learn One On One Scorer, im level one, and the striker was only 18, but he scored a lot more after he get that speciality

Yes, that's what I said. In your case, your 19 year old grows very slowly, while the 23 year old isn't too bad for his age. However, comparing a 23 year old and an 18 year old, the 18 year old has the possibility of reaching a far higher rate of development. If both are right at the peak, the 18 year old will grow faster. That's why I say I would only do it with an 18 year old with maximum training speed.

yes On phone app it is the next screen after skills. think carefully about starting it. It takes 50 skill points to acquire which is about 3 quality points (45 skill points) that you sacrfice to get this ability. IMHO absolutely not worth it especially at your level. 3 quality points is a big difference at level 2. I suspect the skill might mean a goal or 2 per season dependng on your strategy. any good player will score 0ften if one on one. It very hard to quantify the advantage of a special skill.

it should if the player is a striker. ask support about this it might be a technical problem.
