You can have an idea of your opponents or the +1 teams if you go in competitions like the Cup and CL (you can visit also the Super League even if you 're not playing there) and spot your rivals .
After playing a year, 12-15 seasons, the game tends to put you with the same opponents so it's good to keep an eye on them.
How they play, how the build and manage their teams, what are their trophies.
But if you don't want some strong competition, don't send friend request till the 1st day of the season (or if you are already friend, remove them at day 28).
Then if you want, send friend request.
You can see the schedule of Cup and CL and watch some of their games.
If a rival is strong and playing with a low q , not active team, support him.
That won't affect the gameplay anyway and you 'll show your good indention.
Try not to make enemies.
If they have loyal supporters from upper levels and same server, send a request during the game.
