Indeed, i've got a lot friends from facebook playing this game, but only 3 I can trade with.....
They will fix this, I'm sure, but it will take a while (see also ask the devs march 2013)

The sooner the better I hope. It really is a pain that we are limited to who we can negotiate with just because we are on different servers. Hell, I can't even trade with one of my mates who got me interested in the game in the first place.
