    Playing without a ST

So I've seen this a couple of times in the past month. People play the 4-5V-1 formation, but exchange the ST for an AMC.
Does this really work? I thought the game engine punishes you for not playing certain positions like ST or DC.

But is it really more effective than playing an ST though? In the 4-5V-1, the game engine makes the Wingers the most important players, followed by the ST and DMC. I don't know, how important the engine decides that the AMC is.

In the end the player quality is also very important, i´ve played 4-5V-1 with AMC instead of MC

I did replace my non performing ST with an AMC a few seasons back with 4-5-1v. It worked well. AMC performed better statistically and team performed well. I would recommend it.

    Doesn't matter.
As long as you are using a formation without red triangles, there is no problem as formations have a minimum effect in nowadays.
More important is quality, orders, if watching the games and doing things.

I think I'll give it a try then, in 1-2 seasons.

I've also noticed someting i've played some season with 4-5-V1 and my ST socred poorly

No I play with 2 ST and they score much more

Not saying a AMC AMR AML couldn't do better, my oponent in the league has an extraordinary AML

Yeah, it works, the AMC-ST works like a false 9 (who nows holds the ball, rather than pass back instantly) causes the 2 DCs to push up leaving your wingers to go one-one with their fullback. The only way this is foolproof is if a DMC is present. However, it's still useless to put a 1 on 1 Striker there. I say 1 on 1 Striker deserves to be on the wing.
