    What' the difference between playing Defensive (or Hard Defensive) with counter attacks ON and playing defensive (or Hard Defensive) with counter attacks OFF ?

    My understanding of counter attacks is that it's a matter of tempo. If it's activated, your team will focus on getting the ball forward in a fast manner to exploit gaps. So if you combine long passes with counter attacks, you'll drastically decrease your possession for the sake of constantly exploiting the opposition's defensive mistakes by an up tempo offensively.
