how to find which server you are on

here is a short little technical tutorial on how to find which server you are on

khris suggested a none program alternative, which is to use 'command prompt'. simply type 'netstat' and find '217-...:1935'. the digit grouping before the colon ':' is your server number

the only program you need is 'process hacker' (it is only a name, do not worry) or any other advanced task manager/port tracer

RED go to the network tab
BLUE find the browser (most many browsers have multiple processes, on firefox it is usually 'flash_plugin_container') you are on with 'remote port' 1935
GREEN under 'remote address' find YELLOW (last digit grouping for remote IP). that is your 'server number'

if the 'add me thread' included people stating which server they are on, it would make choosing out server buddies easier. since the game does not tell you which server you are on, it is just a basic trick to find out yourself

wonder if the reserved post can take all the players who want to share their server location though. computerwise that should be from 1-255

I'm on server 100 apparently.

It might be worth noting that your tutorial only works if they access the game through the facebook app, I initially tried the website version but I couldnt find the right remote address.

EDIT: No new transfer market implemented on mine either.

Scratch that, it does work using the TE website, I just wasnt looking hard enough.



Helps if you click the 'Remote Port' tab, so you can find the 1935 one easier.

forgot i didnt mention blink based (chrome, opera and so on) have multiple processes running at once, and in my screenie it only shows just 1. ancient firefox usually only had 1 and stuffed everything into the browser/flash plugin process
