Platinum division will be reached soon. What is next?

4 seasons away from the first teams to get promoted to Platinum division.

Just having this division stacked up with teams, despite the 20% loss of points every season, does not seem challenging.

I hope Nordeus has already some thoughts on that and developing some good ideas.

How do you think associations can be even more challenging though?
I was thinking of it and I could not find room for tempting improvements.

That's the highest stage for now . You will earn 100 token for reaching there and 100 when you able to remain there by the end of the season

Well really I too wait for aditional levels, but needing more points, like one at 2.000 points and another at 5.000.

Now, back when everyone was matched with people from their own division, this would also make things more difficult, as you would be playing tougher and tougher teams. But they seem to have changed this, which in my opinion breaks the system. So we'll see.

I just noticed this mismatch of teams this weekend. We used to be matched with teams that are around our level, so it would typically always be good matches. Now we are matched with teams that are way below us. Just doesn't make sense why the change.

Yes, that s what we all have noticed. Many people keep asking questions but noone from Nordeus has bothered to give any answer yet So its not clear if that is a bug, new system, one-time experiment or what...

I doubt that, the in-game info clearly states, that for getting into Platinum Division you get 100T.
When you stay at same division the reward is less, but we have no clue what will be in platinum.

If you are at 1000+ you remain at the same Division.
If you get around 1200, next season you will be at 960, so reaching 1000 will be easy.
So you will always aim to finish your season around 1200+.

Perhaps something got lost in translation, so I will clarify.

In order to be in Platinum, you MUST have at least 1350 points. Gold 1 starts at 1200 pts, Gold 2 starts at 1050, etc. So if you aim to finish at 1200 points, you're not getting the Platinum rewards; you're getting the Gold 1 rewards. Thus, you still need to do better the following season in order to reach Platinum.

Secondly, you can't aim to get 200 points each season at the higher levels, because you are losing more than 200 points each season. 80% of 1000 points is 200 points, so if you have 1000 points or more at the end of the season, you'll lose more than 200 points. So if you try to get 200 points every season, eventually you'll lose points.

You mentioned the bonuses; let's look at those. Let's say you score 20 points every time you win an associations match, and 15 points every time you lose. These are estimates, as you probably will win some matches with more than 20 points, but let's use this to guess for now. Hypothetically, these are the points you'd get based on each week's finish:

• 1st place (2 wins, 0 losses): 40 points + 50 point bonus = 90 points
• 2nd place (1 win, 1 loss): 35 points + 25 point bonus = 60 points
• 3rd place (1 win, 1 loss): 35 points + 10 point bonus = 45 points
• 4th place (0 wins, 2 losses): 30 points + 0 point bonus = 30 points

Say you get 2nd every week. That's a total of 240 points each season. Once you hit 1,200 points, you'll start losing points at the end of the season, and you'll stop advancing.

Now say you want to barely stay in Platinum each season. To do that, you need to get 20% of 1350 each season, or 270 points. In order to just stay in Platinum, you need to get 1 first and 3 seconds. Not hard, right? But if you're only playing other Platinum teams, this could be very, very difficult. Keep in mind, that's only to stay at the SAME points, not gain more.

All right, last thing. Say Nordeus thinks "this is too easy, let's add another division at 1500 points." In order to stay in this division, you need to get 2 firsts and 2 seconds, or 3 firsts in order to get to the 300 points you need to just stay in this new top division. And (assuming you're playing just teams in your division), this is going to be immensely difficult to do.

It makes sense that there is concern that there will be no end to this competition, since a lot of teams are getting promoted each time (ours included). However, there are built-in mechanisms that will make gaining points increasingly difficult as the competition goes on. Of course, nobody knows just how it will be because nobody has yet had the time to reach those top divisions, but once they do, I feel like there will be enough competition to keep the tournament interesting.

NOTE: If top teams keep getting matched against lower division teams, all of this is screwed as the top teams will just win every week and get ungodly amounts of points. Nordeus, if you're reading this, please fix this because you're going to indirectly break the competition if it continues.
