Hide best players to get a "good" draw, but its not works anymore but yet somehow they still too strong for their opponent, get 100 point is easy for team like them.
but soon their player will retired and poof, gone. unless they pack some green and go rampant in training their new player, and go tanking again lol

Hopefully, but a lot of the super-high skill mutants are still young, so even it you can't make them any more, it will take months to get them out (unless the owner's get mad and quit first! ).
