My player's nationality and contract duration has been automatically changed

At the beginning my team's nationality is all Italian, including the most quality player namely Diego Filippini (AML/ML) as he is the first one who has got 5 stars. After 1st season i renewed the contract duration with him as 3 years left (now i am playing in the 2nd season)

2 days ago i have found that his nationality was changed to Paraguayan and the contract duration is just 2 years now. From then his traning speed seems to be lower.

I used to set him as the captain but now due to his new nationality, the captain order has to be set to another one who is Italian

Additionally, other player namely Matteo Palazzo whose contract was renewed on the same day with Diego Filippini, until now his contract duration is still 3 years.
