Leaving Facebook

I'm currently playing the game by connecting to Facebook on my phone. I've decided that I want to delete my facebook account but don't want to lose my game progress.

Is there any way of delinking my current game from Facebook so that I can continue to play?

I think if that's what you want to do then you will have to start a new account from your phone & skip the face book part. The one you currently have will always ask you to log into face book.

What has forced you to leave FB, I have an account that is active but very rarely use it.

Yes, you can just abandon the FB account, set all its privacy settings so no one can see it, and never log onto FB again.
