Why I lost to this formation ??

I used 4-5-1V and my opponent use 4-4-2 but hold on, look at his formation first > DL DC DC DR MC MC MC MR ST ST. So no midfield at left side. My team should win in the midfield cause I have 5 and he has only 4! But I lost 1-3 and yes, I played at home. Why ?

Oh no. You're wrong, dude. It's very possible to happen since he played with LEGAL formation.
This formation kinda unpredictable

When you come up against laterally asymmetric formations, you must attack down his weaker side. If you don't, and if he is strong in other areas, you are likely to draw blanks.

thx you guys for the answer. Actually this lose is acceptable to me cause my opponent is showing up so I respect his winning. But the only thing that made me curious is that whether his formation is legal or not. So if you guys said that it's not an illegal formation so I accept my lose without any doubt.
