I'm level 9, I play only scouts at a minimum, I play 4-4-2 a bit. The one formation I get stuck against is the 4-1-3w-2. Teams that play that formation seemed to really dominate me early last season. At a guess they were playing defensive with hard tackling (no of cards given). Any formation with a strong AMC was also tough, found myself watching the commentary and if the AMC came up, changed the formation.

yeah. this season 4-4-2 formation are very strong.it can goal with any place. i just lose for this formation last night in the CL. i m used 4-1-3w-1-1 .they have a first goal and me take a goal befor HT. so second Half i change WD.but still cant make me have a shoot more. and give them goal at the 80'.resulf i lose 1-2. : (

i had a game against a 10Q weaker team using the 4-2-3-1
it was a draw 1-1. id usually do well with my formation even against stronger teams using 5 backs, but this guys backs are 1 stars (his strikers too), and yet they somehow foiled my formation. id also mention it was at his home, and a friend and i watched my team but they somehow got 55-45 possession

I always play 4-4-2 too and won all this games!

I have played 3 teams that used 4-4-2 on me. My cup opponent was bested 1-0 and 1-6, my league opponent topped me 2-1, and my Champions league opponent lost 3-0.
