Has the formations and tactics engine changed for 4-5-1 V?

It used to be that 4-5-1 V would beat 4=4=2 classic, and 4-1-2-1-2 ND would beat 4-5-1 V, but I've been seeing differently this season.

In my league I've seen a team using 4=4=2 classic beat a team of equal or slightly better quality using 4-5-1 V. This was on 4 different occasions.

I have also seen many teams using 4-1-2-1-2 ND losing against a team of equal or slightly worse quality using 4-5-1 V. Also some teams using 4-1-2-1-2 ND barely beating a team of significantly worse quality using 4-5-1 V.

Anyone notice this or have thoughts about it?

Yes some of the counter formations are becoming redundant, but the logic is still there I think.

The 4-5-1 V-style was a counter to ND, so it's not strange.
It doesn't work (for me) anymore, so i use 3-5-2 V against ND now.

I've seen people complaining about the V-style, recently.
I looks like in your server it still works, as a counter to ND, but it doesn't as a counter to 4-4-2(not for a couple of seasons now).
Level 1 - League 3rd place (started late, in the season)
Level 2 - League 2nd place, CL 2nd place (both due to troll results)
    Level 3 - League 1st place, CL 1st place, Cup (lev 6) 3rd place
    Level 4 - League 1st place, CL 1st place
