Table of Counter Formations - What to use?

that should work, but I would play 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond, red arrows DL/DR.

This guy, has this (illegal?) formation:

How is it possible that he keeps having 50% ball posession, its an illegal formation, and he won 4 times in a row, fifth time he lost though. All of his games he has 50% or more ball posession and the opponents formations are not illegal. How is this possible? He didnt made any substitutions by the way, nor the opponent. And also of the same level.

dv8r, Its illegal cus you gotta have at least 3 midfielders? he only has 2 ?

•Goalkeeper (Must be player's natural position i.e. a GK) **
•Some combination of at least 3 defenders (i.e. 3 players anywhere in the back row )
•At least 1, but no more than 2, players on EACH outside flank. {the D(L/R), DM(L/R), M(L/R), AM(L/R) slots}
•at least 3 midfielders (DM*, M*, AM*) at least one of which has to be an DM* or M*

The one on the left has 3 and the one on the right has 4, therefore they are perfectly fine formations to use. I have used both myself without any problems.

Sorry i thought aml amr didnt count as midfielders. Whats the best counter formation ? Its not in the list, thanks!
