I assume his MF is a tight X formation.
I've not played against this formation but strength through the centre is needed while offering some form of attack down the wings.
I'd opt for a defensive set up of 3N-3-2-1-1 with the DMR/DML preferable with MR/ML, with No! O/S and No! counter.
See how it goes and add up arrows to the DMR/DML if need be.
    Level 1,2,3,4,5,6 League winners

    Level 1,2,3,5 CL Winners

    Level 4 CL runner up.

    Level 2,3,4 Cup winners

Yes, a tight X formation in middle (4-2n-1n-2n-1). Out of interest, why do you suggest DML & DMR when he has no AML or AMR?

Would 3n-2n-2n-2w-1 be ok for a more attacking formation? I'm just a little concerned that with me playing at home, and needing to beat him to win the league, that I should have ability to score goals. My team is stronger by 27 vs 24.

When he is losing, he switches to 4-1n-1n-1n-3 btw, what should I do then?

Does this work vs 4-1n-2n-1n-2 as well? It's got a narrow diamond in middle instead of an X and 2 ST instead of 1. Sorry for all the questions, and thanks, I really appreciate your help and I'm learning from you.
