I've been doing well in my sophomore season.

How do I beat this formation? I think it's illegal, but I've noticed that my opponent got 43% possession in his last game in a win against a team with a legal formation:

    2-3-3-2

    ----DC--DC----
    DML--DMC--DMR
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    ----ST--ST----

If he changes to a 3-2-3-2 at the last minute, what should I do...

    ---DC-DC-DC---
    DML--------DMR
    ---MC-MC-MC---
    ----ST--ST----

Yes first formation is definately illegal as only two at the back so I wouldn't worry too much if he plays it, should be an easy win with pretty much any standard legal formation. If he changes to the second, fairly common formation then the table of counter formations states 3N-2DML/DMR-3N-2 is countered by 4-4-2 Classic, link below.

Given the first, illegal formation is very little different to the second I'd say 4-4-2 would be fine there also if you're really looking for an answer to it, but like I said if he plays it you should win comfortably.

Thank you. Won 4-0 with the 4-4-2 against his illegal formation.
