    4-3-2-1 (default):

    AML----------AMR
    -------ST-------

You can play it flipped too, but it's really for special cases (ML-MC-MR,AMC-AMC).

Cody, with this tactic you use arrows, red or blue?? Ty

The default is red arrows on DL & DR. I don't use the formation a lot myself, just face it a lot. Other forum members seem to like red forward arrows on AML, AMR, sometimes ST (I don't see the point on ST), and blue defense arrow on all four defenders (again, I don't see the point).

Having red forward arrows on DL & DR would mean you intend on attacking heavy down the flanks and believe your two DC can handle most of the defensive load.

Personally, I'd try running red forward arrows on the outer MCs like so:
    DL--DC----DC--DR
    ----------------
    ----MC-MC-MC----
    AML----------AMR
    -------ST-------

Just my opinion, don't be afraid to experiment

Wondering if I took the time to type out that fancy formation? Nah, check out my python script!

OK, COdy! Earlier this morning i won 2-0 with that tactic with arrows only on the aml and amr, but i thought it was kind of lucky.. He made 20 shots against 10 of mine. Later i will play for cup, and i will essay the arrows on the mc's. Ty cody

The shot count rarely has any meaning in this game. Things to look for are set piece (corners, free kicks) stat counts in combination with passing % and tackle counts.

Good to hear things are working! Good luck with the cup game
