4-3-3 ball possession

Is there a difference in ball possession between 4-3N-3 and 4-3W-3? Or does it depend on the opponent's formation?

i have never quite understood all the factors in possession but based on my experience it is mostly based on quality and your opponents formation. other factors such as short or long passing and if you are attacking or defending go into it as well. i have switched from attacking o defensive in the middle of games and watched my possession got down 1-2% :s

if my opponent has 4 total midfielders (DMC, 2 MCs, and an AMC) i make sure i have 5 and i have only had ONE game that i have ever played where i didn't have the majority of the possession that way
