Hi
I would appreciate some help on how to counter these formations?
A) CL 1/4: won 1st game 1-0 at home, 4-1-1-3(w)-1 (similar quality)
B) League rival: lost home game 0-4, 3(n)-3(w)-1(amc)-3 (his team slightly better)

Team B

thanks a lot guys
@Crister i can’t play that formation because my 3rd striker is injured
@t11_fan i think i’ll go with 4-1-4-1 that way i can line up better players and i can turn it in to 4-5-1v or 3-5-2v(with a substitution) if i’m in trouble
vs. team B i played the following formation and lost 0-4 at home despite having better ball possesion
---DC-DC-DC---
DMR--DMC--DML
-------MC--------
AMR---------AML
-------ST--------
Counter formation doesn't guarantee win. They usually help, but sometimes it happens that even counter formation doesn't help and you get defeat.
Yeah, i understand that. I was wondering if i should play the 3n-3w-3w-1 formation you advised me to vs team B. since i played the above(very similar formation) and lost a few days back. Thing is we go head to head points wise me having better goal difference but last game of the season i will play away at team B.

Play 4-5-1V. It should be ok as a faced this formations a few times and always won.
