4-5-1 V style is not going so well

i dont know im the dominator always but without goals even my team better u can say im around 60 in domination but always loose this season only .

I play V style as well. It is working ok, but I find that this season that 4-4-2 is working better.

I played a home and away with this level 8 team (I am level 5) The first game I started as 4-1-4-1 but moved my ML-AML and MR-AMR up to form a V style mid way through the first half. Here is the result:



Today I played him with 4-4-2 flat arrows on the ML and MR. Here is the result:



Essentially the same players except for an extra striker as opposed to a dmc.

I am planning to use 4-4-2 more often this season.

In this season i played 2-3 matches vs diamond formations @cup ang @league and won them. But agree with 4-4-2, its doing magic right now.

Just like the real Borussia Dortmund, my team has been terrible in the league, but has been fantastic in the Champions League. As many of you know i use 4-5-1 v style, but in the league this season my 4-5-1 v style has been pathetic. Has anyone else been running into problems with 4-5-1 v style?

You could try 4-1-4-1 with what you have if you haven't already.

Only thing I can add is just a personal observation of my V-style last season when it stopped functioning. Whether its all in my head or not, I found an MC who seemed to lower the performance of his neighbouring players even when he played well - I sold him and tried another - his performance didn't set the heather on fire but my wingers saw more of the ball.

My team is built to play V-style but it doesn't all the time and even when it does it can be Normal, Defending or Hard Defending with various other order changes so its hard for me to comment on changes to a formation when I don't play it consistently one way.

Still working well for me, although I find I use it more c-a now because I'm Q-leader less often.

Same problem here. I almost lost against a way weaker team using 4-5-1V. Switched to 3-5-2V and won 2-1.
4-5-1 V was my fav. formation in the early stages,but I think 3-5-2 is more useful.
