Well, my statement, didn't quite hold true, few hours after posting on 4-4-1-1, I lost to a 5 quality lower 4-4-2 Team (He kinda offset one of the MC to the middle spot). The manager wasn't around to watch, but judging from the comments, I'd say this is a troll match (my world class AMC Shadow Striker and ST one-on-one couldn't get pass the 4* defenders).

Anyways, I did win a few matches against 4-4-2 earlier this season using the 4-3W-1W-2 which looks like 4-4-2 Classic mixed with Hex:

you can use AML as well if your AML is stronger, or his DR/MR is weaker.. all the best!
