which formations are good for attacking order and which formations are good for defend order.

There's no such "FIT FOR ALL" tactic. It depends on the quality of your players and order/arrows.

Take for example this season, I started with 3W-2-3W-2...couldnt get a good run, but with the same players, playing 4-2-2-2, I am currently undefeated. So there is no generic, guarantee win attacking formation. But as a guide:-

3-5-2
3-5-2V
3-1-4-2
3-4-1-2
4-2-2-2
4-2-1-3

Defensive
5-3-2
4-5-1
3N-2W-3N-2
