not really, 7's and 8's in league and cup, 7's and a couple 6's in CL. only 1 mom out of 26 games this season.

he's my 4th defender in quality, and my normal defense only runs 3 in the back.

i guess 7's and 8's are the status quo for defenders though.

Most of the fast (or even the decent) trainers I have bought this season did not perform to expectation. I even managed to get a high quality nordgen with special ability, but he has not perform well so far.

One high quality nordgen with special ability that I have bought from the previous season has not been playing well enough too. He is a bit like Richards; DC with defensive wall special ability but with DMC as an extra position.

This season has been poor for me in terms of nordgens.

    @ Tactician

When you say there are better formations w/ 3MC and 3ST what do you mean?

A defensive 4-3-3, mixed passing, through middle ? Any arrows?

I lost in the CL (with 4-4-2) against a 16.6 Team,. While I have 27.6pts..

I seem to win league and cup (even against stronger teams) but this guy in the CL kicked my a**..

    Regards

No. But, 4-3-3 is one of the strongest formation in this game. 4-3-3 is an offensive formation, but some people have won with this formation using defensive orders too. You need to experiment, especially with the orders. No arrows are required.

Hey.. Thanks for the reply.. but just to make sure:

    This is my enemy:

    vs 3-5-2 v-screen-shot-2015-07-21-09.07.53.jpg

And this was my Setup in first match (where i lost 0:2) :

    vs 3-5-2 v-screen-shot-2015-07-21-09.10.12.jpg

Is 442 just the badest config i could use against his tactic?
Otherwise I don't really understand why i lost..

I would now change to 433 to have a chance winning with 3+ goals:

And just play through the middle with short passing?! :/
Do you think this could work?

    Thanks so far..

No. Long passing or mixed. Short passing works best when you a lot of player close together from midfield to attack, and with full pitch pressing against some formations. For 4-3-3, it is either long passing or mixed, and mainly pressing in own half.

I give you a 'tip' for this one. If 4-3-3 does not work in the first half (that is, if you conceed a goal, and your team has not scored at least 2 goals), you change your formation to 3N-2W(DML, DMR)-2N(MC)-3 for the second half. If still you feel your team is not doing enough, adjust the orders until you put full pressure on his team. So, choose the players that you will put on the bench appropriately so that you will be able to switch to that formation if required.

    Thanks mate!!

So i am going to start with a 4-3-3 / mentality: defensive or normal / mixed passing / through middle / pressing own half / zonal marking..

Do you think i should use the offside trap? I never do.. This might be dangerous, right?

And if it doesn't work ill try to change to 3-2w-2n-3.. I'll keep it in mind before I setup my team!

    thanks

No offside trap. I doubt whether this option has any positive effect. I have not yet found any order combinations with offside trap that work as it should.
