    I would go 3N-2(DML/DMR)-2-1-2. Defensive, long passing, down the middle, hard tackling, zonal marking, counters on, pressing in your own half. That's how I would play it.

    I also tried a couple of matches a more unorthodox 2-3(DML/DMC/DMR)-2-2(AML/AMR)-1 approach. You could also give a go at a 2-3(DML/DMC/DMR)-2-1(AMC)-2. Same orders. Believe me, there was no handicap in ball possession because of only 2 DCs. A little risky, but it's something else, right? And you basically man-mark his AMs.

    Yes, I did. Just a couple of times against specific opponents and formations.
