I only found this thread now! Seems very interesting. I know how to play against most common formations now but I will give this a serious try against more exotic ones, as well as test it as a benchmark against my own assumptions.

Ok, I tested it with some of my most common formations and have a suggestion:

Include arrows.
For instance a 4-1-4-1 with red arrows on wingers is basically a 4-5-1 V on offense. In terms of the Offense/defense maps that's how it would work. In terms of the other maps probably use a mix of both.

Yeah, I Know it still misses some features.
I suppose I will eventually add them, but right now I would prefer somebody else takes the initiative.

I don't have yabdul's anymore but I can put mine back up later tonight. Made some tweaks and some experimental stuff over time.
