is there any way to logically beat 4-4-2 ?

it's just random it seems, playing indentical games doesn't yield any logic at all...

i played a game against a 4-4-2 side i am much stronger compared too using also 4-4-2. lost, no way of reaching a chance to score.

has anyone found a solution or is 4-4-2 simply overrrated?

lost all too easily mate concedeing four goals in the process. tactic is simply overrated if you are not 5 points stronger.

No. It is 4-5-1(V) that is overrated.

I have sent you one set of tactics in your forum inbox. Try that and report back here, but keep the set for yourself. Just say if it worked or not.

Can you send me that tactic too? I have struggled vs 4-4-2 with random results as well. Thanks in advance!

I dont think that it's too hard to beat, 3 central attackers vs 2 central defenders.

Theoretically you could even do a formation with 2 DCMs on the wings, or just play 3 at the back and AMC and 2 strikers to overpower their defence.

Personally what I do is change my tactics, and study their players and make a plan of attack that way, I generally keep the same formation.

I think defensive counter long passes 451v would be very good as 442 doesn't have DMC s
If things weren't good during the first half( losing) , then try to switch it just normal tactics.
