I usually play 4-1-2-1-2ND with Normal/Attacking, Thru' Middle, Short pass, No counter.

4-5-1V is a counter for ND - I'd not use ND against a better 4-5-1V.

Counter for 4-5-1V is 3N-2(DML/R)-3N-2, or 4-3N-3 if you have three good strikers (rare, I know...)
